As you are getting lots of mails, and don't want to read the whole update, we have a short summary The first 20 CRAFT GEN 3 USA samples are successfully made and shipped to the USA. Here’s the latest on your orders:
Production and Testing Plan: Quality Takes Time
The first production batch started in early November 2024 and was completed mid-month.
Since this is our first shipment to the USA, we conducted an extensive testing plan to ensure every unit meets our rigorous standards. Each base station and keg underwent functional tests, including:
- Pump current checks (minimum and maximum levels).
- Mash step accuracy (temperature deltas).
- Cooling and carousel functionality.
- Valve and Peltier cooling performance.
We believe quality is key to success as we launch in the U.S., and these detailed tests are our way of guaranteeing you get the best brewing experience.
In the Eight Update, we mentioned changes to the LED and fan cover design to remove the MiniBrew wording. Unfortunately, the outside vendor couldn’t meet the updated schedule. To avoid further delays, we proceeded with the original design for this batch.
The units being shipped are GEN 3 USA versions, pre-UL and FCC certified and tested, ready for use.
Delivery Timeline
We’re thrilled to share that all logistics have been finalized! The first shipment is currently on route to the USA by boat. It takes about 20 days from Shenzhen to LA. Customs clearance and last-mile delivery are being handled in partnership with a reliable shipping company in Los Angeles.
For those who ordered extra kegs, these will be shipped as back-orders with the next production batch in Q1 2025.
In the meantime, we’re working closely with our brew kit supplier to finalize recipes and ensure essential starter items, like cleaning materials and CO₂ cartridges, are ready for you.
Webshop Update
Our webshop is being revamped, and we onboarded people to our support team. This ensures faster and more personalised assistance as it's needed. Our apologies that we have not been following up fast enough.
As we approach the shipment of the first units, our payment system is being reinstated soon.
- For those with outstanding orders from EXO-1020, our team will reach out soon to finalize the remaining payments in preparation for the next production batch.
- New orders can soon be placed, and we’ll provide you with a clear timeline for delivery.
- For those who requested a refund due to delays, these will be processed as soon as the payment system is live again.
